Overview

Designed and developed a new website to streamline the current process and drive an increase in bookings.

HRC required a modern website to streamline their online booking process, support marketing efforts, and attract new patients. The platform needed to clearly communicate their services while giving users the confidence and information required to make an informed booking.

Problem statement

Previous attempts to establish an online presence had been unsuccessful. An externally developed website proved difficult to use and maintain, limiting its effectiveness.

Attempts to rebuild the site using platforms such as Wix also fell short, largely due to the time required to learn and manage these tools alongside running a busy clinic.

As a result, HRC lacked a reliable, scalable solution that balanced ease of use with a professional user experience.

Solution

I designed and delivered a fully custom website, starting with Figma mockups across mobile and desktop. This allowed for early feedback and iterative improvements before development began.

The final solution focused on two key areas:

Content Management

A headless CMS was implemented using Strapi, providing a clean and intuitive interface for managing content. This removed reliance on third-party themes and plugins, reducing maintenance overhead and improving long-term stability.

User Experience

A modern, mobile-first frontend was developed to deliver a fast, accessible, and visually polished experience. Subtle animations and thoughtful design details were used to create a premium feel while maintaining clarity and ease of navigation.

Final thoughts

This project demonstrates the value of a bespoke, maintainable solution over off-the-shelf platforms. The new website sets out by focusing on usability for both HRC and their patients, delivering a strong foundation for growth while remaining easy to manage day-to-day.
